The modern photographer that interests me the most is Jeremy Cowart. Jeremy Cowart takes interesting pictures and displays them in a way that makes anything look interesting. Cowart takes pictures of various things, he takes pictures for everything from album covers to landscape shots to magazine covers. I like the fact that he is capable of doing so many different styles of photography and he's good at representing each of those styles.
Four words to describe Jeremy Cowart's work are: dramatic, moody, profound and diverse.

What I like about this image is that the tones and contrast really affect the mood and atmosphere of the picture. The dark tones make the picture look deeper and more meaningful. The contrast gives makes the picture look nicer in general, I especially like the contrast between the man's shirt and his sunburst guitar. I like the center of interest element in this picture as it is a portrait, and the center of interest is very appropriate here because the viewer's focus is solely on the man. I like the lighting in the picture because it is clear that external lighting was used but it is not overdone. You can see how his forehead is brighter than everything else in the picture, as a result of the lighting, and that brings the attention to his face. The lighting also produces a subtle shadow, which just adds to the aesthetic of the picture.
I really like the lighting on this picture because it directs you as to where you should focus, which is the organ. I also like the leading lines because it creates a dramatic effect and also guides your attention to the main focus. The rule of thirds here is also done exceptionally well as the surgeon's right hand is exactly at the lower left hotspot.
To incorporate Jeremy Cowart's style into my photography, I would have to practice taking pictures of multiple things. This would include landscapes, ordinary objects, portraits, studio shots and many more scenarios. To achieve the look of his photos, I'd have to practice filtering on Photoshop to give each of my pictures the same effect. I'd also have to make more use of the composition techniques to have my pictures on the same photographic level as his.
